A Garden Grove man was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving early Monday after driving his car onto the railroad tracks, where it was struck by a train.
Andrew Poland, 21, got out of the car as he saw the train approaching just south of Sand Canyon Avenue, police said.

(CBS) RIVERSIDE, Calif. A Corona man was sentenced Friday to 23 years in prison for a high-speed drunken driving crash that killed a young man.
Alan Leonard Brown, 45, had two previous drunken driving convictions and was cited four times for driving with a suspended driver's license, prosecutors said.
Brown was convicted in June of second-degree murder for the July 21, 2005, crash that killed Jonathan Hodges, 18, of Menifee.
Two other people in the car with Hodges, Raphael Trejo and Christian Esquivel, were injured in the collision at the intersection of Sixth Street and Smith Avenue. Brown had a blood-alcohol content of 0.19, more than twice the legal limit in California, at the time of the crash.
